Dr. Jena Questen
This morning I am grateful for the herd of mama elk and their babies, probably over 50 animals, that camped out across the street from us for the entire afternoon yesterday. I had wanted to work with Cesar, but all of the horses were captivated by the scene for the entire afternoon, and had no interest in me. They never crossed the fence onto the horse's side. They just rested, and relaxed, the mamas carefully observing every car that went by, and keeping a close eye on all their babies. It was a beautiful site to see. It’s alright, I had plenty of work to do anyway so working with the horses would have just been a distraction from getting all the video work I needed to get done.
I am also grateful for a wonderful day full of meaningful connections. From the gym, to lunch, to an evening farewell gathering for the president of the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce, I am grateful for all those wonderful experiences and opportunities to connect with others, and those who want to connect with me. Much there to be grateful for.
Today I am grateful for the sunrise, and that I woke up, and that I get another chance today to be a better person than I was yesterday. Yesterday, I carried a lot of anxiety and feeling pressured to not have enough time to do what I wanted to get done. Today I can forgive myself for bothering to do that to myself, and strive to have less stress today, and more joy and gratitude for the people in my life.
Today I set the intention that I am a good leader, I make good decisions that are enriching for all, and that I get everything I need to do, done, with ease, fun, and laughter. How about you? Have you set an intention for your day? It’s not too late. It’s never too late. We are all learning, and growing, throughout all the moments of all of our days. That is of course the purpose of our being here. So if you woke up today, there is something for you to do, or learn, still, on this earth. So learn something new today, and do something kind for another, and yourself, because you deserve it.
One of my purposes is to spread the message of R+, or positive reinforcement animal training. So if you love animals, not just horses, and you are ready to learn something new, I encourage you to sign in to our free community on the ResqRanch website, and begin your journey of transformation in all of your relationships, for the rest of your life. And if it is at all in your ability, we can use all the help we can get, from tack cleaning, sorting and organizing, to joining us at the Stock Show, to tractor repair (anyone know a tractor transmission specialist)?
Thank you for being here, you Animal Loving Angel, may our today be even better than yesterday. And when you go to sleep tonight, may you reflect on this wonderful day, and be happy and proud of yourself for all the good choices you made today. God bless!
