Dr. Jena Questen
Take a deep breath with me now. In through the nose, and out through the mouth. Once more. Leave the struggles and worries of yesterday behind, and concentrate on the blessings of this new day before you. Be grateful for the fact you woke up today. Everything is good right here, right now.
As this arctic cold blast approaches, I am grateful for the roof over my head, the strong walls around me, for the air that fills my lungs, for heat, for running water, for electricity. I am excited to see what this new day brings as I sit here and watch the distant sky slowly begin to change to a dark yellow edge against the dark blue.
Yesterday was a great day at work. Bonding with some of my new team members. Being awed by the fact that after the last few years of struggling at times to find anyone at all to work, to this year finding myself starting out the year with possibly the strongest team ever since purchasing the practice. Oh the up’s and down’s of life.
I wonder what today will bring. Take a moment with me now to choose to think and feel positive things about how this day will unfold. Welcome the day with joy and confidence that you are in the right place, at the right time. Oh, and hug animals. Definitely don’t forget to touch, feel, admire, and breathe in the joy of an animal into your soul today. They are a gift, given to us to help navigate all those up’s and down’s, and give us a spot to always come back to be grounded upon. I would not want to live in a world without animals, and I suspect, if you are here, you feel the same way, you Animal Loving Angel.
So make today a great day. Look in the mirror and accept yourself, just as you are. Just as our pets accept us. Learn something new, and feel better today, than you did yesterday. Wishing you all a most wonderful day today, thank you for being here. And don’t forget I am here for you, if I can be of assistance in any way in your journey with your animals. God bless!
