Dr. Jena Questen

Today I am grateful I got to have a wonderful dinner with both my girls last night at one of our very favorite places. I am grateful they are both now good drivers. I am grateful the older one is doing so great in school and loves her college experience so much. I am grateful the younger one is finally learning how to be a good student, that school is more important to her now, and that is excelling like never before. I am grateful I have people to help us do all the things. I am grateful we got a small load of hay in yesterday. It’s only about a month’s worth, and in small batches like that we have to pay a premium, but at least we have food for the horses for another month, and I am just not worrying about the rest.

One of my goals for the new year is to devote even more time to the YouTube channel. Why might you ask? Because I know that is the best way to reach the most people, and therefore, help the most animals, through what I can share with others about animal care and training. In the hospital, I can only see one patient and family at a time. In a video, I can help potentially thousands of people learn ways to better care for their animals, save money, and be happier people because of it. So yesterday I spent several hours working on that, and it’s exhausting, mentally laborious intensive work. Finding the right words to say. Remembering to say them the way I want, not getting off track, and having the confidence to look at myself in the camera and fight the urge to wonder what others might think of what they see and hear. It’s an emotional battle to not get discouraged, and to stay confident. It’s like a marathon, where I just have to put my head down and go.

I am very, very excited about what we are working on, but I am reluctant to reveal it just yet, stay tuned! There is a lot of infrastructure that has to be put in place on the back end, before I can make my BIG REVEAL, and it might be pretty much ready for me to share it with you, but I am going to give it another couple of days just to make sure all the pieces are in place before letting you know what I am cooking up for YOU for 2026, to give you to make your life with animals even better. I am so excited!

So today is Hump Day, the middle of the week. Hopefully it doesn’t feel heavy and discouraging. Hopefully you are feeling strong and in control today of the outcome of your own day. Another chance to do something nice for another person with expecting nothing in return. Another chance to do something nice for yourself, just because life is hard and you deserve it. Another day to get closer to your goals and dreams. I hope you have them written down. I hope you have a vision board. Having that vision for the future is what brings happiness. That, and being grateful for today, for any part of this day. I hope you will look in the mirror and tell yourself something you are grateful for. I am grateful for Animal Loving Angels like you, who love the animals, and get up every day and try to make their lives better, because they have little choice in the matter, their lives are in our hands. And if giving to a worthy non-profit is in your wheel house, we would appreciate any help we can get https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Resqranch

Thank you for benign here, and make today the best day of your life!
