Dr. Jena Questen
Welcome to November! Time to say goodbye to October, and frankly, most of 2025, as there are only 2 months left. How will you feel about how this year has been for you on New Year’s night?
I for one will be grateful for Halloween because I went into the studio and did a live TV segment on Great Day Colorado yesterday morning with the dogs all in costume, and it was so much fun! Then I went out with some friends and laughed harder than I have in a long time. I am grateful for that, and wish the same for you!
But today is the final day of the Breeder’s Cup, and our event down at Arapahoe Park Racetrack so time to shake it off, and get ready to have another great day. I already have my coffee, and I am looking forward to what the morning line has to say about the runners in the Breeder’s Cup Classic today.
You see, the Breeder's Cup is the world championships of horse racing, so there are many different races for horses of different ages, running at various distances. But the one race that is considered the “Big Kahuna” of them all, is the Classic. And that will happen later today. I watched the races yesterday, and was so excited because there was only one horse I felt strongly about, adorable gray little Ted Knoffy, and by golly he won! Silly name but beautiful horse, and I suspect as long as he stays healthy, you will see him in the Kentucky Derby in May.
But today in the Classic, it’s a tough one since Sovereignty was scratched (pulled out of the race). Like I have been saying, the handicappers (that is what people who professional bet on horse racing are called), they really like Furiousness so far, but Journalism is a force to be reckoned with. Sierra Leone won this race last year and is here to try to accomplish the same feat again, then there’s Baeza, another quality horse, and the long shot Nevada Beach who actually deserves to be here, too. There are more great horses in the race too so it should be very exciting to watch with so many powerful contenders.
It’s not too late, you can still join us down there later today, to sign up, copy and paste this link into a new browser and sign up! https://www.resqranch.org/breeders-cup-signup
I am so excited and can’t wait to see everyone out there today!
I am grateful for friends to spend time with, a beautiful community to be proud of, I am grateful for horses and just animals in general (who would want to live in a world without them?), that my children are thriving, safe, and healthy, and that I have so many wonderful people around me who support me in so many ways and allow me to get on with doing what I do best, which is simply being me. Thank you!
Today, we hope to see you at the track, and if not, please consider helping our cause, even a small monthly donation goes a long way to helping fill the pipeline full of more helpful information that can save lives. Whether that be animals lives because someone earned more about animal health and training, and chose to work through the issues and not turn that animal over to a shelter. Or whether that is a human life for example when some aimless teen feels the warm breath of a horse on their cheek for the first time, and realizes there is a whole world of working with animals out there, and suddenly they have self confidence, and a vision and purpose for themselves which they did not have before. If this speaks to you, you can help us here https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Resqranch
Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, subscribing to the channel, and liking these videos. I hope you have a very high vibrational Saturday! When my kids were little and my Mom was in town, Saturday mornings would always be when we would turn the music up while I was making breakfast, and my mom would clap while the girls would dance on the table! So turn the music up and dance, on the table if you want to, ha! Happy Saturday, be kind to yourself, and find a reason to laugh out loud today.
Sending you all the love in joy in the world. Have a beautiful day!
