Merry Christmas to you! Today I am grateful for the people who work at food banks and homeless shelters. I am grateful for police officers. I am grateful for the firefighters. I am grateful for teachers. And I am grateful for everyone who has ever shown more than an ounce of kindness and compassion for a living, breathing animal. Thank you.

I hope you have the best day ever with your family. We of course had the privilege of doing an emergency surgery on Christmas Eve yesterday for a dog who ate rocks, and then only to discover many more complications once in surgery. You can check it out (if you are not squeamish) on my live stream on YouTube yesterday. This morning, can I ask you Animal Loving Angels to send a little love to Remy, that she lived through the night, and that she does well today and that she gets to be her family’s Christmas miracle? And then say something nice to yourself, too.
