Dr. Jena Questen
Today I am grateful the mountains are getting much needed snow.
I am grateful for the sunrise which will warm up this chilly, windy morning.
I am grateful for a happy team of employees at work yesterday, I am so lucky to have such good people around me.
I am grateful all the horses survived the cold, windy night out there and are ok this morning.
I am grateful I have some hay in the barn. Low on hay is better than no hay, any day.
There are so many interesting celestial happenings in the universe right now, with eclipses, planetary alignments, and of course the ever present solar flares impacting our earth and super charging our ionosphere. I don't know what it all means for us, but I sure can feel the energy in the air this week, can you?
I hope this means a year of shake up, realizations, kindness, and willingness for people to have the strength and courage to move forward and leave the past, and more hurtful ways, behind.
That sentence can mean a lot of things depending on who is saying it, but you know me, I hope it means bringing R+ to the forefront of the conversation with horses this year!
If you have not logged in yet, remember, everything is now FREE within the ResqRanch community. And all of my training videos on this channel show you how it's done.
And I know what you are thinking. It takes too long to wait around for the animal to make the right choice! But it doesn't. Because you work in 10-15 increments. If they don't make the choice you like, you stop, rest, YOURSELF (why wouldn't they do it for you?), and try again. Remember, behavior is all about relationship. Training issues are relationship issues. The textbooks teach us this. You can do this for hours all day, in increments, and never damage your relationship so they are always happy to see you, no matter what, even with saddle and halter in hand. And in the end, you will realize, it actually took less time. Was safer, less stressful, and worked better than anything you ever tried before.
And it doesn't matter if it's horses, dogs, cats, or fish (yes they can be trained which is why you should be extra careful with them), or people, but I am not supposed to tell you that!
Be kind to yourself today, you Animal Loving Angel! Look in the mirror, right in the eyes, and tell yourself, you are great, just the way you are. But if you are ready to learn something a little different about animals, join our community, together, we can transform the world into a better place for horses, and people. God bless you out there today.
Oh, and your donations, and spreading our videos and events, goes a long to help us, too. Thank you!
