Dr. Jena Questen
The best thing about me, is that I am able to distill down a lot of complex information into little chunks and just get to the gist of things.
I remember in vet school, all my friends lounging around coffee shops and studying for hours, while I delivered pizzas, belly danced at clubs, and struggled to feed myself and study. They would often look down their noses at me when grades came out, in their self assured confidence how much better they were than me. At the time it hurt, a lot. I was exhausted, and terrified of failing, or not being able to pay my horse's board.
But, stress and heat are what harden a blade, and those years honed me into who I am today. Which makes me the best person in the world, to teach you, about positive reinforcement horse training, in a way that is easy and fun to understand.
I am so grateful for it all now. I am grateful I was even able to have my horse during vet school. I am grateful I managed to graduate despite how difficult it was for me. I am grateful I seem to have mostly recovered from the PTSD of the entire experience (high suicide rates among vets is real), and finally, I am grateful I picked up that Dolphin Training Manual by Ken Ramirez that totally altered my life, and my perception of how we handle and train animals, for the better.
Today, my Animal Loving Angel, as we hunker down to survive this blustery Friday, I hope you have gratitude in your heart, kindness towards yourself, and are looking forward to a super fun weekend. We are getting an addition to the ResqRanch, but you have to wait until tomorrow to find out more! So if you want to learn about animal training, enroll in my Masterclass while it's still free until March 22, 2026. Remember, almost all of the training works the same, just replace the word 'dog' or 'cat' or 'koifish', with 'horse' and then you can use the training principles in your life, right away.
In the meantime, don't forget to vote for us for Non-Profit of the year, and pick your favorite rescue, show them some love with a call out and why they inspire you.
Have the most blessed, beautiful day my friends, see you here tomorrow!
