Dr. Jena Questen
Running an animal sanctuary takes a lot of time, dedication, and funds. It costs approximately $4000 a month with some months being more than others depending on what is happening with the animals. That is why we have events like our next one, the Girls Gone Wild Mustang Birthday party, to help us raise awareness about the educational classes and emotional experiences with animals we offer here. I hope you will join us or make a donation today, to help us give these animals their best lives.
Today I am grateful for the sunrise, for dogs, for the fact it’s Tuesday and that I woke up today (although honestly, for half a minute when I woke up today, I thought ‘here we go again”), for my daughters who I am so proud of and work so hard, and for my mother who is always there for me no matter what.
Yesterday a semi load of hay arrived in the neighborhood, and today we will get to have some of it! Yeah! I am so grateful for that because we were literally down to 2 bales of hay last night and sweating about what we were going to feed them today until the hay could be brought over here. It all worked out literally in the nick of time. Isn’t that how it goes sometimes? That is also something to be grateful for.
What about you, Animal Loving Angel? Did you have a GREAT start to your week and are you ready for a fabulous day today? I sure hope so. I hope you are remembering to be kind to yourself, to be kind and understanding to others, and that you are looking forward to having a wonderful day. If you are not feeling it, take a moment right now to go look yourself in the face, in the mirror, and think about what who you see there. What all they have been through, how hard they are trying. That’s you. I see you, and I know it’s not easy some days. But if you woke up today, the world, and the animals, still need you, so give that person in the mirror a big smile, put your big kid pants on, and let’s make this world a little better for some animals today, shall we? We got this!
