Dr. Jena Questen
Today we will be training to get ready to participate in the Evergreen Rodeo parade. Not too sure yet which animals we can get ready to take for this, so wish us luck!
Today I am grateful for this community and the friends I have made and got to socialize with last night at the Chamber mixer event. I was honored and touched by how many people told me they voted for the ResqRanch for non-profit of the year! We will find out the results tonight, I will be eager to let you know.
I am also so grateful I was given the exclusive invitation yesterday to participate in the CEO Forum which is a small monthly gathering of select business leaders to brainstorm with other business leaders in Colorado and Wyoming how to solve issues in their business. What an honor.
I am grateful all of the animals are doing well today, and I am sure Mr. Donkey will recover soon from his hoof abscess.
I am grateful my fish are doing well as I had a nightmare about them last night that I think is just related to a court case I have been asked to be an expert witness in regarding a terrible large scale fish cruelty case.
I am grateful for my brave daughter who is choosing to go to school today although many kids are not because of more threats against the school. Although the idea of sending my daughter to school on a day like this when many kids are not because they are fearful of what might happen, I am super grateful I do not live in a country torn apart by war where the threat of harm is even more dangerous and real.
No matter what is happening in the world, there is always something to be grateful for. And animals are such a grounding force. They don't know about awards, threats, or wars. They only live right in the moment, and set perfect examples of how we should live our lives, too. So today, focus on eating well, being careful with your body, and having fun! Because those are things you can control, and bring us joy, in the midst of all the things 'out there' that we can't do anything about.
So today, please wish us luck (on many levels)! And I will do the same for you, as we struggle to navigate together this thing called life. I appreciate you! Have a wonderful day you Animal Loving Angel!
