Dr. Jena Questen
Today I am grateful it's Sunday, the sun is shining, all the animals are doing well this morning, I have the whole day ahead of me to play with the horses, and my daughter here to join me.
I love how we can collaborate and discuss training plans for the animals, and brainstorm ways to minimize any training issues that may arise, in advance, especially since our goal is to take two animals to the Evergreen Rodeo Parade.
Having a goal does change the dynamics with the animals. Normally, R+ style, we don't haveexpectations, we want the animals to have a choice in everything. As soon as you have a goal, to a certain extent, the dynamic has to change. The safety circle gets stricter boundaries, as, we have to make sure we can safely bring these animals into a crowd without anyone getting hurt.
Perhaps it's a bad idea to have a goal like this. For now, I am still uncertain who to take, and, if we even think we can realistically get it done in time. But it sure does sound like fun! And would be GREAT exposure for us in the community. So I do think it's a worth while goal. I will keep you posted on the training as it progresses. Wish us luck!
What about you, you Animal Loving Angel, what are you grateful for today? Spend a moment giving thanks for everything you have in your life, especially all the animals. From the birds outside, to the pets inside, and everything in between, what a boring world it would be without all of the wonderful animals. Don't you agree?
So be kind to yourself, forgive yourself for yesterday's mistakes, learn from them, and strive to be a better person today, than you were, yesterday. Because that's all we can do. Have a wonderful day everyone, and God bless!
