Dr. Jena Questen
Hey animal lovers! Thanks for watching! 😊 This video sheds light on the grim reality of the horse meat industry, where many American horses face the slaughterhouse. We emphasize the critical need for horse rescue efforts and animal welfare to help animals destined for this fate. Join us in advocating for animal rights and supporting initiatives that protect these magnificent creatures.
Today I am grateful I woke up to the warm snuggles of my dogs. I am glad it is Rhoen's birthday although I forgot before I went out to shoot this morning video and didn't realize it in the moment. I am grateful for the moisture falling outside. I am grateful both my children are home safe. I am grateful for the gym, my friends there, and the strength it builds within me, which carries over into real life in so many ways. And I am grateful for my business, my staff, my clients, and my education which allows me to do what I do. Much to be grateful for.
What about you, Animal Loving Angel? What are you grateful for on this snowy Colorado morning? I hope many things. I hope you are looking forward to a great day. I hope you woke up free of pain and full of love. I hope today that, if this knowledge about slaughter horses makes you a little sick, then I hope your next thought will be, what's the difference between a horse and a cow? Why does one make me sick, and the other make me shrug? Is one life so much worth less than another? If you love animals, how can it make sense to eat some of them, knowing the terrible death they will face for one quick meal?
I think the dreary weather is having it's affect on me, and making me more melancholy than usual.
Doesn't change the fact I hope you will give yourself a high five in the mirror, and smile. Because, no matter what is happening out there, you are probably not going to get slaughtered today, which means you get to choose how your day will go, and what your life is like. That alone is something to be grateful for, and that our beloved animals do not have much choice in. So make good choices today, for yourself, and others. And by all means, find a reason to hug fiercely, and laugh deeply, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us, and you are lucky indeed.
And if any part of your future involves learning about the best method of horse training, handling, and care, then check out this video right here https://youtu.be/KP_UIH5mQxw and learn about Oliver and all the other work we do here with the horses. I hope to see you at a summer clinic.
And if you are struggling with health or behavior issues with your dog or cat, call us today at Aspen Park Vet Hospital for true out of the box thinking. I also do phone consultations if you live too far away to visit. Although, Aspen Park is truly the destination veterinary hospital and worth the beautiful drive to Conifer.
I am here for you, and my deepest wish is only all the best for you, and your animals. God bless!
