Dr. Jena Questen

Experience the peaceful side of rescue horse pasture life with our herd. Watch how these silly horses and donkey interact with us during their daily turnout, following me around and hoping for a special treat! Whether you are curious about horse behavior or looking for gentle horse training tips, this look inside the ranch offers a sweet glimpse into our animals' world in between training sessions. Visit ResqRanch.org to learn more about our ongoing educational programs, free courses, and 3 day in person hands on horse training clinics using only primarily positive reinforcement. Don't see something offered that you wish for? Just ask!

Today I am grateful we had a great day at work yesterday despite being short handed. Anyone out there looking for a full time, long term job with animals? Shoot us an email at Aspen Park Vet Hospital!

Today I am grateful a friend called me out of the blue and asked me if I wanted to go to Second Saturday's, which is an event hosted by the Downtown Evergreen Business Association to encourage people to visit the stores until late in the evening, with free drinks, snacks, and great live music. It was a very pleasant way to end the evening after a stressful day at work.

I am also grateful I got to have a wonderful delicious lunch with my daughter yesterday.

I am grateful we took Mr. Turkey to work and his cock-a-doodle-doo's from the back of the hospital put a smile on many folks faces on a hectic Saturday morning. He is such a kind little soul of an animal. He really tires his best to be polite and well behaved at all times, he is a gem.

And I am grateful it is Sunday, and I get to get caught on things around the house this morning, and then get to continue our Donkey parade practice this afternoon. Come walk with us in the Evergreen Parade next Saturday! I hear we won't be the only donkey, and I also hear there will be 12 long horns leading the parade! Oh geez! Walking with those other animals, and all those thousands of people, is starting to sound scary! Am I making a good choice to do this parade? Wish us luck!!!!

What about you Animal Loving Angel? It's Sunday, the day of rest, and gratitude. So if you have not been putting what you are grateful for in the comments, now is the time. The more gratitude we practice, the better life becomes. So today take a moment to think of 10 things you are grateful for. Was that easy? Or hard? Practice makes perfect. Count them on your 10 fingers, and remember, there is always, always, something to be grateful for. Starting with the fact, you woke up today, that in itself, is a gift, and a miracle. So be kind to yourself, and others, and mostly, just enjoy the day.

And if there is anything I can do for you to help solve any areas of tightness or constriction you feel, when interacting with your animals, remember, I am here for you.

Sending all my love,

DrQ
