Dr. Jena Questen

Start your morning with peaceful animal sanctuary vibes and some very cute horses (and brave Donkey). Get a heartwarming look at life at the sanctuary, including morning greetings from Blaze and Sugar, and a peek at some of the wild animals around us. If you love seeing rescued animals happy and healthy, you will enjoy these sunrise moments. Please subscribe to the channel if you have not already, and consider donating to help us keep feeding our animals and providing excellent care for them. I am grateful, in advance, for your generosity. Thank you!

Today, I am grateful I got to enjoy the beautiful sunrise with the horses. For the beautiful little birds, and for the elk which come to visit. I am grateful for the successful walk we had yesterday with the Mustang fillies and our strong Donkey, who always shows up with integrity to lead the way and help calm the horses when they get nervous. I am grateful for the delivery of hay we got yesterday, and for being able to write a $1200 check for the hay and having confidence it will clear. I am super grateful for the amazing, personalized, one on one pasture management lesson I received from one of my neighbors yesterday. He spent nearly an hour walking the property with me, looking closely at the soil, showing me exactly what to look for in the blades of grass, and even taking me over to a field nearby where we again looking closely at the blades of grass, their length, the number of blades, the height of the various grasses, and he gave me many tools and tricks to help me minimize the weeds (which have lately been taking over), and ways to help the grass grow in more lush (just like in his little fields down the road which are a thing of beauty). I am so grateful he took the time to teach me what I did not know, and taught me relatively easy, inexpensive ways to take better care of the land.

He told me, two years from now, you will look out on this land and pat yourself on the back, even though no one else who drives by will care. And I believe him. Now, it is time to get to work with his help and advise. I am so happy he took the time to teach me so much!

So what about you, Animal Loving Angel? Did you get some rest over the weekend? Did you write a list of 10 things to be grateful for? I listened to a podcast this morning of a successful business man who was in prison for 8 years, and then built a seven figure figure business in less than 3 years after his release. He says, while he was in prison, he made a list of 70 things he was grateful for, both morning and night, for a total of 140 things, every single day! He says, this is what helped change his mindset away from the instant gratification he pursued (which led him to prison), and got his mind right. Could you make a list in one day of 140 things to be grateful for?

So today, look for so many things to be grateful for, be kind to yourself, and the animals.

And if there is anything I can do to help you in your journey, whether through Aspen Park Vet Hospital for your dog, cat, horse, or fish, or, with answering something you have always been curious about in a free video on this channel, I am here for you. Just ask.

Until then, I am sending you all my love today, for you, and your animals, today, and every day.

Make the most of this beautiful Monday, being grateful you even woke up today, and that you have the chance, once again, to make yourself a little better, than you were, yesterday.

Make it the best day ever!
