Dr. Jena Questen

Yes we are a horse training education ranch, and yes we are also a horse rescue. We teach horse training using positive reinforcement techniques to build trust with the rescued animals in our care. With our rescued animals, we teach you how these gentle methods work with horses, donkeys, dogs, and all your animals. Learn how to communicate effectively with your animals through patience and rewards rather than force. Please consider supporting the animals at ResqRanch.org to help with their feed and care, and so that we can continue to provide scholarships for children and adults to attend our valuable educational classes. Today I am grateful we were only out of power for a few hours yesterday due to the red flag warning, and that nothing happened.

I am grateful my girls and I made lemonade out of lemons by going out for a later afternoon early dinner, and just happened to arrive right when they were playing live music out on the patio which made for a particularly lovely Sunday afternoon!

I am grateful the first of my 3 day horse training clinics is behind me (I am tired after all that!).

I am grateful that now that I understand what is exactly wrong with my ankle, I am able to manage it better and feel like I am on the path to long term healing.

Finally I am grateful for this new day, the animals, my family, the orange sunrise, and that I live in a land of freedom where I get to choose how to live my life. Grateful indeed.

How about you, Animal Loving Angel, what are you grateful for today? Your dog's soft ears? Your cats sweet purr? Your horses gentle nuzzles? If only we could just spend all day loving them, playing with them, making food for them, and taking care of their basic needs like trimming those toenails, even if it's one at a time!

It's Monday, the start of a new day. I suggest you start it by giving yourself a high five in the mirror, and a big cheesy smile before you head out. Why not? What if that simple act sets you up to be in a better mood, make better decisions, and helps smooth over all the little bumps which might come your way.

Remember, I am here for you, and your animals.

All my love, DrQ
