What happens to horses when Aqueduct Racetrack closes its gates for good? We explore the reality of one of the most famous racetracks in American history, closing it's doors forever. Secretariat raced there! Is it because of the horrible atrocities associated with racing, and the industry is systematically being shut down for good? Or is it something else? Today I am grateful for Oliver, Emblaze, and Rhoen, all with ties to the racing industry, and all the other horses who have come and gone, especially Taxi, Jian, and Prince of Flame.

Today I am grateful yesterday is over. Don't ask.

Today I am grateful for the sunrise, and that all the smoke and haze in the air is from wildfires far away, and not threatening to impact us.

Today I am grateful for my team, and my family, who believe in me, stand by me, and go to bat for me, even when I am not feeling my best.

Today I am grateful for my fish. All of them. The koi, the mollies, and all the new friends who have recently joined our tanks at Aspen Park Vet Hospital, especially the eel- like Dragon Gobi who is absolutely fascinating, beautiful, and mysterious.

What about you, Animal Loving Angel? What are grateful for today? Just waking up and being able to take a deep breath is a start. Then of course our animals. All the animals. The ones we share out lives with, and the ones who get the honor of watching them live their lives outside.
