Today I am grateful for my early peaceful mornings at sunrise and before the heat of the day.

I am grateful I got to go on a beautiful hike late yesterday afternoon with my girls and the dogs. I can't remember the last time we did something like that.

Today I am grateful for my cup of Costa Rican coffee, and my fans working hard to make the summer heat more bearable.

I am grateful I get to go to work today at a place I love, I am proud of, and full of the best people in the world.

Today I am especially grateful my ankle is not hurting me nearly as much! Now that it has been nearly 3 weeks with an actual diagnosis, and the tools to manage the tendonitis which I thought was arthritis, with a few lifestyle changes I am on the road to recovery and a fully functional ankle joint again. After months of pain, that is definitely something to be grateful for.

It's the middle of the summer, yet, the pressure of that summer coming quickly to an end, with the kids going back to school, is palpable in the air.
