Good morning my beautiful Animal Loving Angels! You who would give almost anything for one more year, day, week, or minute, with their beloved animals. I see you!

This week, I have been watching a lot of the FEI Equestrian games from Aachen, Germany. If you are not familiar with what that is, it's like the Olympics for horses, in fact, many of those hoses and riders have been, or will be, in the next Olympics, it's that level of world competition. They are the very best horses and riders in the world.

It has me thinking a lot about what it takes to get those horses to that level, and would I ever want that for Natalia? Of course, those horses are carefully bred for their jobs. And the ones that don't make the cut, take up space in homes where a horse at the slaughter lot might have a home. Horses like Natalia, with her uncertain breeding, unsure what she might develop into as she grows, is deemed worthless in that world. As I brushed out her beautiful golden mane and tail this morning, fed her treats, protected her with my own formula fly spray, and gave her so many hugs and kisses, and then let her out to pasture to enjoy the day as she pleases, I could not imagine forcing her to do a lot of hard work in an arena every day to become a world level show champion. I guess it's lucky for her, I just don't have it in me. So maybe that makes me "less' of a horsewoman. What do you think?

Today I am grateful it's Sunday and I already got to spend some quality time with my golden princess and for the new volunteer starting today!

Grateful for the break I have gotten lately from doing this video every single day.

Grateful for getting to see the Odyssey last night, which I quite enjoyed, because I was luckily familiar with the story already.

Grateful for a great week at work last week with my awesome team.
